Insulin Potentiation therapy is a powerful method of treating cancer and it has been used since 1946. With IPT we can directly target the cancer cells bypassing the healthy cells, Insulin is the same natural hormone associated with Diabetes. We usually say that cancer cells contain 16 times more insulin receptors than healthy cells, because cancer requires glucose for its energy production.
When we start the IPT process, the first thing we do is to carefully lower the patient’s blood sugar level with insulin. As the blood sugar drops, the patients healthy cells rely on fat metabolism, but the patient’s cancer cells become seriously compromised. Cancer cells sense the threat to their survival and open their insulin receptors (cell doors) to get their food, this we call it as – therapeutic moment – now we will administer low dose chemo sensitivity drug followed by glucose. Then the patient’s blood sugar level is brought back to normal
Advantages of IPT
- Safe and more effective
- Fewer side effects
- High quality of life
- Most patients do not lose their hair
- Uses one-tenth of the chemo drug doses
